Full Mailbox Notification

Each BCI mailbox on the mail server has an 8 MB Limit. This is the default value when a mailbox is created. When a mailbox is 80% full a notification is automatically sent from the BCI Postmaster. Another side effect is that your friends you e-mail tell you they can't send mail to you as it comes back undeliverable.

There are several reasons your mailbox on the BCI mail server may be full, some are:

1. Someone sent you large file attachments, such as huge high-quality photgraphs. After you download these to your computer your BCI mailbox should then be under the 8 mb limit.

2. You have not checked mail in a long time... due to vacation, out of town, pc broken, etc. Once e-mail is retrieved your mailbox will be under the limit. You can also use Web Messaging to delete e-mail you don't want downloaded to your computer or to simply manage your mailbox on the e-mail server. Here's a quicklink to get there:

If your address ends with "@bci.net", click here: http://mail.bci.net

If your address ends with "@baldom.net", click here: http://205.232.46.199

3. Your e-mail program may be setup to save mail on the BCI mail server:
(the default settings is to remove mail from the server onto your pc)

If your E-mail program is setup to save e-mail on the BCI mail server you can change the setting to remove mail from the server after downloading to your pc.
